Prelude I 00:46
It's precisely the thing that you're alive for, that's scaring you to death. So pull your act together, boy, or move aside for someone else.
2.
Cupid 03:30
Cupid missed my heart and hit me square in the head. Now I'm bleeding thoughts that don't make no sense. I never said a thing about this, I leave her in the dark. 'Coz I can't bear to sink a friendship, So I'll be waiting all day. You don't know, don't try understand, why this love lives inside my head. I've gone past the liking her, through the loving her, now I'm up to losing her, and I've barely said a word to her. So she turns and heads on her way, into the west and fades to black. I'm all worn out from this pounding heartache, So I'll be waiting in this mood indigo. You don't know don't try understand, the war of the world that's inside my head.

Prelude II 00:27
4.
He's always getting just enough to keep him looking for more. Walk into the darkness, his heart is heavy with the pouring rain. He won't believe what he is seeing, so much that you would think he was blind. If he ain't getting nothing it's over, step on closer to the end of the war. He was ready to fall in love, but he'll turn and she is gone again. He'll take a chance and move closer, press his ear against her bedroom door. She says that she wants it, but now just is not the time. She was ready to fall in love, but she found it in another guy. There's no way to defy her, like the flag was lost from the start. Forever pushed by desire, in this espionage the heart. So long, waiting, here he stands in the cold air, Find her, feel the heartbeat, another goodbye gets closer. Thought for so long that she would be gone, and I'd never know this feeling. Feel it now, 'coz in a few hours it will be like you were dreaming.

Prelude III 00:24
6.
The city picked a fight with me, at four million to one, the odd's aren't strong. Belittled by this concrete land, I guess that's alright when you understand... That not me, nor he, nor the meek, Shall inherit her love. This town's too big for the two of us. Baroque boys in their ornate clothes, practise lines 'bout her eyes, and buy her wine. Sip the chemistry that flows their veins, and try their best to make her forget my name. I've tried much harder than you'll ever know, to lift her up over this heavy world. I'll fold my hand no I won't try my luck, I'm all worn out I just can't keep this up. You know I'm getting myself of of this towering metropolis.

Prelude IV 01:05
8.
If beneath us was a sea, would you dare untie this matress and sail away with me? Throw the pillows overboard, disappear into the darkness where no other beds are moored. Am I awake? The night awaits. Time has always been my darkest dream, hold your light on me. Feel the warm December air, as it's brushing past your face, and holding back your hair. There's no need for us to steer, so much time, explore my mind just like an ancient pioneer.
